What we believe

Jesus Christ is King and Judge of the church and of the conscience. We reject any church hierarchy above Him. The congregation is led by leaders and servants who serve Jesus Christ, guided by the Word and the Holy Spirit.

We believe that the entire Bible is the Word of God. Through it, God reveals His will for humanity. Its authority is above traditions, experiences, and human intellect; it is our only rule of faith and practice.

Baptism is an ordinance of God that every disciple should obey whenever possible. It is performed by immersion and symbolizes dying with Christ to the old life and rising to a new life. It is for people who have come to faith and are convinced of the reality of God and the new life Jesus Christ offers. It should be administered by a minister of the local church.

We uphold the God-given right of every person to choose for themselves. Faith should arise from conscience and an understanding of the Bible, without being imposed.

The local congregation has authority and decision-making responsibility over its affairs, without depending on another church, group of churches, or individual. Its members participate fully in church decisions under the lordship of Jesus Christ and according to the New Testament model. Christ is the head, Scripture provides direction, and the Holy Spirit guides. Leaders and elders oversee, teach, and preach; the final decision rests with the congregation.

The Lord's Supper is an ordinance, not a sacrament with saving power. It is for believers in full fellowship with Christ and His church. We do not uphold transubstantiation, consubstantiation, or the mystical presence.

Every believer has the right and privilege to communicate directly with God through Jesus Christ, who forgives sins. The Holy Spirit helps us have fellowship with God through His Word. We all have equal access to God.
